Tahoe Plasma UFO Photo? 2/13/2012

Here we go again. It was Feb. 13th 2012 the night before Valentines Day around 7pm. Jack and I were traveling US 50 on our way back to South Lake Tahoe, CA from Carson City, NV. We were traveling on between the Logan Shoals scenic pull-over and Cave Rock. I noticed a flickering light in the sky to the west. It was flickering and changing colors and it definitely appeared to me that it may have been fluid or non-solid in shape at least. Like an energy field or liquid. Jack snapped off a few photos which I have posted here for you to see. This was definitely not a planet or anything typical.

Check out our other Lake Tahoe UFO photo.

At one point it looked like a glowing cylinder 7:05:52 PM

Here the UFO looks like a planet 7:06:17 PM, it is not a planet. This is the same UFO as above!

Like a liquid in a weightless environment it was continually changing shape 7:06:34 PM

7:07:03 PM

I found the UFO video below on YouTube. It was shot on the same night and time in Oroville, CA of what may be the same UFO. What ever it was that we witnessed was definitely in the direction of Oroville. If you fast forward to 18:10 on the video below, you'll see the flickering and changing colors just as Jack and I saw it that night. In hindsight, I wish we had pulled over and video taped it ourselves.

Lake Tahoe UFO Photo

The other day we were going through old stuff and we pulled an old computer out of the closet. We hadn't fired this thing up for quite some time and neither one of us could even remember what was on the thing. Well we fired her up and she jumped to life like she was anxious to go. So what's the first thing you do? See if there is anything interesting there, right? So jack and I are looking at old pictures, when we run across Jacks UFO Photo, I'm not kidding here, I had forgotten all about this picture.

Here's the story. It was September 11th 2007, My roommate Jack went out on Lake Tahoe in a boat with Dwight, Dwights Mom and Grandma. Jack and Dwight were walking home in the Tahoe Keys after the boating trip and there was a low flying aircraft. Jack just so happened to have his camera out and was shooting pictures so he shot a photo of the plane pictured below and didn't think a thing of it.

It wasn't till Jack got home and uploaded his photos till he noticed something unexpected in the photograph. If you look closely to the right and below the plane you'll notice a dot with a trail streaming from it. What in the world is that? No beatin' around the bush, I'll tell you what I think it is straight up. It's a UFO coming out of Lake Tahoe, that's what it is. The UFO's propulsion system is leaving an ion trail behind it. Is Lake Tahoe the entrance to an underground base of some sort? What do you think it is? Please leave a comment below.

Spring Lake Tahoe Snowstorm

Snow on the Subaru
Last night a spring snowstorm lashed out at the Tahoe Basin and blanketed the upper elevations of the Sierra mountains with a fresh coat of snow 20-30 inches deep. Down at Lake level we even got a foot! I saw this thing coming and we were prepared for this storm. We were early to rise and shine and wasted no time heading up to Sierra at Tahoe. We were early enough for eighth chair which meant I was the first one down a run called Eastabout. I had fresh untracked powder from top to bottom, it was awesome!

Sierra Today

Sierra at Tahoe
It was another wonderful spring day on the mountain today. Not quite as hot up there as yesterday so the snow never really softened up in the shadows of the trees, but it was fun none-the-less, especially on the sides of the groomers where there was like a 2" layer of sweet peel off corn snow. We have a little snow possible tonight, in fact it's coming down as graupel right now. Although the snow is disappearing from around town, the snow base is holding up very well with 102" being reported, no brown spots on the hill at all.

Sierra Spring Skiing Corn

Jack, Dwight and Bridget
It hasn't snowed in in Tahoe for a while, and I hope it doesn't either. There I said it, I hope it doesn't snow for a while. Why? Well we have a decent snow base and the corn skiing is starting to get really good out here. So I'd rather see the snow settle down a little more so we get the perfect corn snow.

On The Way to Northstar at Tahoe

We woke up to like 5 inches of fresh snow on Lake Tahoe's south shore. We decided to drive north up to Northstar at Tahoe for skiing today.  It was my first time skiing at Northstar and we had a nice day skiing on the mountain. There was a good 6 inches of light fluffy powder on top of the ski hill which made for nice conditions.

Here's a picture of Lake Tahoe on our way driving up to
Northstar at Tahoe this morning along the east shore.

Tahoe Fall Colors 2009

Fall photos Tahoe 2009

Jack and I went out and shot some fall photos. The leaves were a little past their peak at the higher elevations but this weekend will be the peak of the 2009 fall colors here in town. All these photos are shot with my Sony Ericsson 580i 2 mp camphone.
